Founders Day

The Club was abuzz with fun and excitement on Founders Day, especially over the Belgian chocolate cake from Cakes Etc.—a very much appreciated gift from Peter Reader—along with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Peter cuts the cake

Honoured guests long-term members Peter Reader, Terry Delaney and Peter Cruse, all of whom have celebrated their 90th birthdays, were joined at the head table by President Peter Gilchrist, Past President Vera Creelman and fellow bowler Iian Fletcher. Invited guests Joan Garwood, Harry Lever, Joan Little and Edel Waldron sent regrets at not being available to attend.

Over forty members and guests attended the festive event on a lovely warm afternoon.

According to Drawmasters Terry and Eileen, there were enough bowlers in attendance to fill the greens with two rinks of Fours and four rinks of Triples. The highest point prize-winning team was skipped by Jim McClennan with Wally King and Diane Galenza.
