Women’s Lunch Bunch

This year the VLBC Women’s Lunch Bunch met for Christmas lunch at the Four Mile Pub on the Old Island Highway, a venue whose history like the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club goes back over 100 years (see Club’s history here). In the horse and buggy days, the Pub was a roadhouse for dusty travelers, later it became a cabaret. In 1979 the present establishment opened. One can imagine that some of our early bowling club members dropped in for a pint or two.

Today, the fabulous display of seasonal decorations adds to its warm welcoming atmosphere making it a perfect place for a pre-Christmas gathering.

The Women’s Lunch Bunch meets the first Tuesday of every month from October through March at a different venue each month. In addition to being an opportunity to catch up with bowling friends we may not see over the winter, it’s a great opportunity to taste test various restaurants in town. Members interested in joining the group should contact Jo Ann Allan to be added to her email list (see contacts webmaster).
