The first of 4 sessions of drills got going this morning in a big way. It was a little overwhelming but nevertheless gratifying and exciting to see 24 members participate.
The morning started with a video on what makes a good delivery. This was a good refresher for old and new members alike. We then proceeded to the green where 6 rinks were set up with 4 challenges for bowling a jack and 2 for controlling basic draw shots. Sometimes we forget and just plain do not realize how important throwing and controlling a good jack is to the overall game.
Next week, we will tackle 2 line of aim and 2 controlled weight challenges.
These drills are not competitive. They are challenging each person to bowl against their own best effort. Thank you to George Gibson, Elaine Huber, Dave Maher, and Chris Jones for giving a helping hand. With so many participating, their help was very much needed and appreciated.
Hope to see you all again next Friday.
