Open House 2019

A record number of prospective lawn bowlers and croquet players passed through the gates of the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club on April 6-7, 2019, eager to try out a new sport.  Ninety-six guests were welcomed to Open House and invited onto the greens to try either or both sports. Enthusiastic volunteers provided basic instruction and an overview of each game.

Information was available inside the clubhouse on the benefits of membership; guests had an opportunity to sign up for lessons.

On Saturday, a rather blustery day, a cup of Annie’s homemade pea soup proved popular. The Hospitality Committee kept the refreshment tables full of goodies and plenty of hot tea and coffee.

Over the next few weeks, lessons will be available in both sports. For those that decide to join the club, lesson fees of $25 will be applied to membership. More information lawn bowling or croquet.
