VLBC Members were clearly happy to be out on the greens on Sunday, not only to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but to welcome the return of spring. Thirty-six bowlers filled the upper green for triples games and ten or more croquet players set up on the lower green. Several spectators soaked up the sun’s warmth, visited and cheered the others on.

Thanks goes to Peter for being draw master and, as always, to the Hospitality Committee for providing a delectable assortment of St. Patty-themed goodies to enjoy with the green tea.
We anticipate a good turnout at Open House on April 6th and 7th followed by lessons for prospective new members. Although official opening day is not until May 4th the greens will be open for practice or scratch games. Sunday’s enthusiastic turnout bodes well for another successful season.
